Dr. Tannen completed her undergraduate studies at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. She stayed in the state and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia. A job transfer for her husband brought Dr. Tannen and her family to Jacksonville, where she has been in private practice since 1982, excelling as a cosmetic, dental implant, and oral sedation dentist.

At LVI, Dr. Tannen was trained not only in the latest cosmetic dentistry techniques, but also in how to focus on the unique concerns and goals of each patient to create each individual’s perfect smile. These courses have had a profound influence on Dr. Tannen’s practice and have enhanced the lives of many of her patients. At her Jacksonville practice, patients benefit from her extensive training as a cosmetic dentist. As a skilled implant dentist, she is also a part of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Outside of the field of dentistry, Dr. Tannen has other avenues of community involvement. Believing strongly that everyone can improve their communication and leadership skills, she is an active member of Toast of Jax chapter of Toastmasters International. Within Toastmasters, she is currently the Vice President of Education, served as President for 2006-07, and has achieved Advanced Toastmaster Bronze (ATM-B). She is also a member of the Women Business Owners of North Florida and the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.
